Research Interests: 

The research interests of my group lie in the area of functional genomics of Escherichia coli under the stress conditions.  I am particularly interested in the metabolism of glutathione because of the unique feature of E. coli to form the conjugate between glutathione and polyamine spermidine – glutathionylspermidine (G-Sp).  The metabolism of this compound could serve as a target for the novel drugs against pathogenic strains of E. coli and other closely related microorganisms.
