Research Interests: 

My research is mainly focused on synthetic heterocyclic chemistry, especially synthesis using carbohydrates as precursors.  Our current projects include construction of aminosugar analogs and the use of carbenoid insertion chemistry to build and decompose sugar-linked diazo compounds.  [Research Description]
