YSU takes the safety of the University community very
seriously. For current information
regarding security procedures and policies, see the YSU Police web page. Perhaps the most important things
students can do immediately is to sign up for Penguin Alert. Penguin Alert is the University’s emergency
notification system that instantly reaches mobile devices when an urgent
situation needs to be communicated. More relevant to this course, students should be aware that
the doors to the lecture hall (Ward Beecher Science Hall, Room 3022) are
permanently locked from the outside. Once the doors are closed, no one can
enter without a key or unless someone on the inside opens the doors. Obviously, this will present a challenge
for late students. At present, the door to the laboratory (Cushwa Hall,
Room 2321) is not locked permanently, thereby allowing students to use the
facility during open laboratory periods. Should you have a concern
regarding your safety in the classroom or laboratory, please apprise Dr.
Cooper. Report any broken links/errors to Dr.
Cooper (crcooper01@ysu.edu) |
