BIOL 3702L Schedule of Laboratory Activities

Fall 2020 Semester

(updated September 6, 2020)

TAKE NOTE: Only 12 students are permitted in the laboratory at the same time.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused significant alterations to what is normally taught in this laboratory.  Moreover, the number of holidays this semester complicates the situation further by causing interruptions in the normally scheduled activities.  Therefore, students need to very carefully review this schedule and activity dates/deadlines, particularly since students are assigned one session to attend a week instead of two.  In addition, students need to be flexible and adaptable to this schedule and possible unanticipated changes due to unforeseen circumstances.

This web page contains links to each laboratory exercise.  Each exercise can be downloaded as a PDF document.*  Similarly, many of the exercises are accompanied by a PDF document containing the laboratory lecture notes.  There are also some links to other web pages associated with this laboratory course.  For example, links have been provided to the CONNECT learning platform for each LearnSmart Lab Exercise.  However, links to other relevant materials (e.g., videos, vendor instructions, etc.) coupled with a given exercise are not provided.  These links can be found on the Laboratory Exercises web page.

Please note that LearnSmart Lab Exercises shall be available at 8:00 AM on the Monday of the week indicated and close on Thursday at 10:00 AM of the week noted in the schedule.  There shall be no exceptions for missing a deadline.

Pre-lab quizzes shall normally be available by 12:00 PM (possibly earlier) the Friday before the scheduled lab and must be completed prior to the scheduled start time of a student’s assigned laboratory section.  There shall be no exceptions for missing a deadline.
