Welcome to the home page for the laboratory component associated with BIOL 3702, the lecture course for Microbiology taught in the Department of Biological Sciences at Youngstown State University. 

This web page is the key resource for students enrolled in BIOL 3702L.  As such, this page contains links to the information and documents necessary to be an engaged, successful laboratory student.  The laboratory exercises presented here have been designed to adhere to the curriculum guidelines and learning outcomes established by the American Society for Microbiology.

Safety Rules

Note: Students must abide by these rules.  Violations of any of these rules may subject a student to being banned from participation in the laboratory experience.

Syllabus Acknowledgment

Note: This acknowledgment must be submitted by the fourth laboratory period in which a student is enrolled.  A student’s laboratory grade shall not be released until this statement is received.

Liability Waiver

Note: This waiver is due no later than the second laboratory period in which a student is enrolled.  A student’s participation in the laboratory experience shall be prohibited pending receipt of the wavier.
